SS&C Vendor Neutrality

We believe that vendor agnostic evaluations and recommendations encourage the development of compelling and competitive implementations with a focus on our clients specific business requirements, not with the vendors of which we might happen to be aligned. We work with hundreds of providers covering a broad scope of services in the Unified Communications industry. In general SS&C does not accept compensation such as referral fee’s or commission from vendors for our client evaluations and recommendations.

Original ThomasSteinmetzheadshots-12.jpg

Tom Steinmetz has over 35 years experience in the computer and communications industries. He held a variety of management positions with Unisys Corporation, a multi-billion dollar international information systems and service provider. This included direct P&L responsibility for a $40 million per year sales operation, Corporate Marketing, and Global Alliance management roles.

Tom began his career as a sales manager in California calling on Pacific Bell and progressed to Branch Manager. In this role he initiated a successful new business development campaign that eventually resulted in Unisys entry into Central Office based Voice mail services to the carriers. The service grew to over 200 million voice mailboxes in operation at Teleco’s around the world, generating over $5 Billion in annual revenues for those carriers.

Over the last 10 years he has been involved in designing, developing and implementing a variety of enterprise communications and call center systems in either on-site, UCaaS or hybrid deployments.

Tom graduated from the University of SanFrancisco with a degree in Accounting and has completed executive education courses at Wharton Business School (Financial Industry) and the Darden School of Business (Partnerships & Alliances). He was on the Board of Directors of the Richmond Children’s Museum during their capital campaign years that eventually resulted in the development of the new museum in 1997.
